Not to be a wet blanket but the issue may be the load leveling system. I had a surburban that had the same issue and it felt like the trialer was driving the truck. I tried my neighbors boat, numerous receivers.

I talked the dealer and he said the auto ride systems would cause the issue and there was not much I could do about it. So I dumped the thing and got an Excursion. Problem gone.
