    Blown Tire Advice

I was fishing a tournament last weekend and while towing noticed I had a flat tire. I changed the tire out and made it home safely. Once home I inspected the tire and noticed that I had picked up a nail but not sure if it was the cause. Can you plug trailer tires and be safe doing that with no further issues? I probably drove on the tire a few miles until I noticed it was flat, can this tire be used again or should I just buy a new one (Goodyear Marathon)? Thank you.

Put a plug in it and blow it up. Check to see if it appears to have any sidewall damage. If it doesn't and you still don't feel comfortable, use it for your spare.
Would you plug a tire on your truck or car and run it. People do all of the time. As long as there is no cord damage you should be fine.

use a patch plug much better than a plug. If you drove with a low or flat tire for a long time there will be sidewall damage. Most damage you cant see until the tire is taken off the rim. Tire companies will honor tires with patch plug but a plug for warranty issues.
