2001 Ezloader with UFP A-60 brake actuator. Brakes work fine but won't release when backing. Checked power to solenoid and the ground, both are good. Bad solenoid?

Put your hand on the solenoid and have someone put your vehicle in reverse and if you don't feel or hear it click, then a bad solenoid. As long as you are sure it is getting power when your vehicle is in reverse.
Ok thanks, I will check that tomarrow. One more question, if the solenoid is bad and I have to change it do the brakes need to be bled afterwards?
Mark, Yes if the solenoid is bad, and you change it out, you will need to bleed the brakes. The solenoid is hooked on the back of the master cylinder with a small nipple and a small black piece of hose and you will have to remove the brake line from the back of the solenoid, and more than likely, pull the whole A-60 actuator out of the tongue just to get the solenoid off, so you will need to bleed the brake system when you go back with the A-60 actuator and new solenoid.
