ranger boat trailers / fiberglass boat on rollers?

hey just wondering if just about everyone with a fiberglass boat has bunks....i just purchased this boat http://www.bbcboards.net...93538 and it came with a non-ranger trailer and it's on rollers....first of all i dont like the fact it's not a ranger trailer, but secondly it has rollers. opinions on rollers? goood or bad, ive always liked bunks and would be interested in buying a ranger trailer if i could find one somewhere, preferrably used.

Rollers are BAD for bass boats in my opinion. They are designed to make larger/heavier boats easier to load/unload. Bass boats are already light enough the way it is.. When I am fishing alone I just drive my boat up on the trailer and can walk off the front without any problems. About a week ago I watched a guy load his aluminum deep V boat(w/rollers) and when he stepped on the front deck (before it was hooked), he took a horrible spill....and there goes his boat back off the trailer.

Also, most bass boat trailers are made specifically for each boat and the carpet runners fit the boat like a glove. If you had to purchase a different trailer some of the runners are adjustable so you can measure and adjust for your specific boat.

    Thats my 2 cents

yeah im going to keep my eyes open this summer for a decent bunk trailer i can work on....this trailer the way its setup is kinda wierd so it would be quite interesting to convert

i just dont like the individual pressure points rollers have vs having bunks spreading out the weight distribution, and there is no way this trailer originally came with the boat so who knows if it even loads properly, i guess ill find out soon enough
