    trailer lights plug

    plug on the boat is a flat 5. My truck has adapter for a flat 4. when plugged in what will not be working? Is it my reverse light or whatever that will deactivate my trailer brakes??

    The fifth wire is for backup lights and the brake bypass solenoid.

    You need an adaptor with 5 pins. Walmart, etc. always has them.
