I'm starting to get my boat ready for the upcoming season. A few years ago, I had thought someone took the cap and plug off my oil res. for my actuator (A-60?) So as I waited for the replacement to come, I dropped in a rubber stopper and put duct tape over it. After replacing I put the tape back over it. I would check my res about 3 times a season and would put new tape over it. My last check was in Aug. 07. Guess what? Someone took the caps and put the tape back over it.![]()
Now I have to order parts AGAIN and I probably should replace the brake fluid. I have no clue as to how long it's been exposed or how much water got in it.
How do you suggest I drain the lines. compressed air? I know not to use anything but DOT 3 or 4 I'm hoping to attack this real soon (tomorrow) Until the new parts get here, I'll go get another plug from Ace hardware.
