    Bearing grease

I just had new bearings/seals replaced.Should I use the same grease as the mechanic did or is it OK to mix grease?

    Re: Bearing grease (kensafishin)

In some cases you can mix it, but it takes some knowledge of the carrier in the grease, so it's best not to mix. Sometimes two good greases mix together to form oil soup instead of grease.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

I use slick50 One Grease for mine, it has mixed just fine with every other grease I have ever seen... That being said, I don't care for the Lubrimatic brand marine grease, get's hard and does not play well with others...
