EZ LOADER BRAKE PROBLEM--NEED HELP PLEASE

Good morning, Since EZ-Loader deems that I am not worthy of a return E-Mail I thought I would ask the true experts. Here is my problem:
Where I park my boat in my back turn around when it rains it will hold water. A lot of water. My trailer must have sat in water several days. When I went to take it to the lake I made it about 3 miles and I noticed my back tandems smoking. I pulled over and YES they were hot. I backed the trailer up pretty fast and it sounded and acted like it broke them loose. I then drove another 5 miles and checked them and they were normal cool to the touch. I went to the lake with no problems--put the boat in--fished and came home. When I got home checked them again and they were cool to the touch. This past week-end I hooked to the trailer and pulled it about a mile. Had to back up and the right rear wheel locked up. Pulled forward to turn around and by the time I got home only the right wheel was hot. Not both of them this time but just the right one.
    1. What do you think the problem is?
    2. How can I back the brake off so I can get it to a trailer shop.
    3. It is a 2001 tandem under a 2001 Triton. I always check my bearings and grease when needed. This has got me stumped and of course there is never a good time for something like this to happen but right here before the weather is getting nice. Heck it was over 70 degrees here on Saturday and I had to take my old 370V to the lake.
    Many thanks.

Re: EZ LOADER BRAKE PROBLEM--NEED HELP PLEASE (EL Skeeter)

El Skeeter...so many questions...so little time....I try to do the best I can here on BBC to help fellow boaters out while I work, and on my own personal time, but sometimes the questions here require alot of questions, answers and diagnosis to figure out the real problem and the best solutions for a particular situation. I feel BBC is by far THE best website on the internet for all of us boaters to exchange ideas and learn. There is plenty of very good information on the internet and in the owners manuals, which most manuafcturers provide, and alot of boat owners do not care not to read, that can answer their questions. I'm here to help you to the best of my abilities and time, especially during the boating season, to answer everyone's questions..Please keep in mind, I try to help everyone from the everyday family boaters to the Pro Tournament Bass Fishermen and the Pro Offshore racers, that tow with UFP products on their trailers. As I have posted before, your best bet is to call me and I will help you with your brake & axle questions, and, will try and share this information on BBC. Sorry to rant on, Im a really just a boater, just like you, ....I apololigze in advance..Steve..help me out this, maybe even post this,....Lyn 800-854-1905 ext 107..

Re: EZ LOADER BRAKE PROBLEM--NEED HELP PLEASE (Lyn O. Dyer)

I will attest to Lyn being busy, I called 3 times yesterday and got his voice mail. Lyn, I didn't leave you a message because I know you are busy and at work and are taking your personal time to answer a question that EZ-LOADER should answer. I will try and call again today. Again, Thanks for the effort and even volunteering to help.

Re: EZ LOADER BRAKE PROBLEM--NEED HELP PLEASE (GRANDPAOF7)

Lyn, Finally had time to work on the trailer. Here is what we did.
    1. Took wheel of trailer.
    2. Released the bleeder valve on the right wheel.
    3. Took everything off and inspected the pads--ETC. believe it or not everything looked good.
    4. Replaced the pads and re-attached everything. Rotated the wheel and it moved freely.
    5. Put wheel back on trailer and took for a test drive. Drove 2 miles stopped and checked...What a relief..No smoke..NO HEAT.
    6. Took the trailer out on the highway ran for about 10 miles at 60 MPH and stopped--No smoke-No heat.
I cannot thank you enough for your help on this, I will still have that uneasy feeling pulling it at first but everything seems to be working fine. I am in your debt LYN.

Not completely. Bleed just a very small amount of fluid and it sure seemed to work.

fishin couillon, If you had a brake problem with the trailer, EZ Loader will tell you to call me, as UFP processes claims for our own products no matter who's trailer they may be on , that way I can ask questions and help you solve it..
