Very nice! Our sheds don't last that long. Squirrels and mice chew them up before turkey season starts...

The shed was found this spring. The deer added about 25 inches in a year.

Good question and I can see how you would ask that from the photos. I guess I should have held it to be at an angle more like the picture.

I'm 99% certain it's from the same deer. I sat one inside the other and they match, other than the main beam and points are a couple inches longer this year. It's real easy to see they match when they are together. I couldn't get a picture together to post because the antlers were at the Taxidermist when I took this picture to post for Wags to see. I know the deer very well with trail cam pictures, personal sightings and video taken from the stand for the last 3 years. Last year was the only one where he grew that little kicker.

You know it could be there was an unknown evil twin deer that we never saw. Who came in and stole last years deers ideniity. I'd put that at only a 1% chance.

Speaking of bucks we'd never seen. We saw 2 really good bucks on the farm multible times during Nov. that we had never seen before or since. I'm sure they were probably passing through but one, a 20" inside 9 point, was there for 5 days straight before he went back to wherever he came from.

Great deer!!! Looks like the shed matches the deer to me.

You can see that the deers G3's sorta lean forward almost making a crab claw and the main beam's sweep forward. That deer put on some inches.

How old do you think the transition from the sheds to the deer where??

    3.5 sheds 4.5 harvested

Yep, I think 3.5 to 4.5. The deer put on 20-25 inhces. My oldest son missed him with a bow the day before.
