Hunting Camp 2011

Figured since i got home from camp and gotten all my pictures onto my computer i would post some camp pictures for you guys and a couple deer pictures. We had a good camp, had a new recruit to hunting camp this year my uncle bruce(bassboogieman), we got a couple deer and had a blast. i aslo got my first deer with the rifle my mom got me for my 18th birthday last year which was really cool. and we seen so many deer this year compared to the past couple years it was awesome. SO here goes the story of how i got my deer. Since it was goonna be warm everybody was thinking the deer werent gonna move at all, so my cousin and i went out at about 5:30 so we could get up on top of the moutain well before shooting light so we wouldnt scare any deer. we got up on the moutain and got settled in it was a slow first hour hour and a half, and then i heard a rustling all the way at the bottom of the ridge looked down and i see something couldnt tell what it was just flat out hauling butt, so i figured well, hope that wasnt a deer. then about ten minutes later, i hear what sounds like a dang mack truck plowing thru the woods!! i wait until it sounds like it stopped since i figured it was deer, and peek up over the ridge to see if theres anything, and theres nothing so i thought dang they eluded me again. so i sat back down, and then about ten minutes later my cousin comes by and says did you hear that, i said yeah, we decided it was probably maybe a couple of deer meandering behind us that caught our scent and high tailed it out of dodge, but i told him lets give it another hour before we change spots. so after about five minutes i hear the crashing and running again, so i go well, im not letting them get away again, and right when i stand up and go to my right this doe comes right down over the ridge next to i try to bring my gun up to aim, and she mustve seen me move and took off down the ridge i grunted at her and she stops but behind a bunch of brush, but she acts like shes gonna go towards my cousin, so im waiting for a bang, then i hear more running and look over to where the doe cam and there stands a nice six pointer right there and then i was in complete shock that ive had two deer right there in my lap and the buck didnt even run off. so i look at the doe thru my scope waiting to see what happened, but she turned away from my cousin and headed too me now she comes into the open and stops and i pull the trigger and she did a bang flop the old 06 got another, and she slides half way down the moutain, so i get up out of my little spot and head towards my cousin, and when i get back up on the trail i see the dang buck so im trying to get to my cousin to tell him theres a shooter right there since hes never gotten a deer before, when i get up to him he just starts says your soo dang lucky its not even funny, since i got a nice buck in archery and a doe in rifle. so i told him to go on down to where i last seen that buck so maybe we can get a double, but to no avail. so we climbed down to where the doe was got her all gutted out then the fun began. i had to drag her thru a creek up another hill and across a field. i felt like i was gonna die after i got her to the hard road. so my uncle came and got me and we loaded her up in the truck and got her back to camp. then the next day about the same time my uncle shoots a BIG doe for up in the moutains where we hunt in almost the exact smae spot where i got mine, so we had a really good hunting camp. would have liked to see my cousin get his first deer, but we still have plenty of time to get him one. heres some pictures from camp:

Good JOB Andrew !!! Not only do ya have to CARRY your Uncle while fishing tournaments now ya got to teach him how to hunt !
