Straightforward.
Pull the top cowling. Remove the analog gauges and disconnect their wiring at the console and at the engine and fuel tank. BTW - I chose to keep the analog fuel gauge. Remove the old wiring, or just leave it as "relic" wiring. Route the SmartCraft cable between the engine and console, then connect to the engine and the SmartCraft "monitor" at the console. Daisy chain the new gauges to the "monitor" and mount them onto the console panel. Route and connect optional wiring such as for oil and fuel level monitoring. Run the installation procedure to customize to your configuration and preferences.
Voila.
So many honey-dos . . . . . so little motivation
You also most likely will need the digital trim sender (unless you already have it).

Frank gave a nice description, above.
In order to utilize "Trim" on Smartcraft, you will indeed need a digital (3-wire) trim sender.![]()

I did all of my gauges and love it. Don hooked me up with everything needed and gave me detailed instructions for the install. VERY easy and only took an hour or so do replace the trim sender and all gauges. Best upgrade I've done to the boat.
