    Kinda old decoys

My dad wants to give me (or sell to someone else) a set of cork black duck decoys from around 1970. They were used but not abused. I think they came from LL Bean but not sure who made them. I imagine it would be $$$ to replace these today but how would you go about selling them and how do you price them?

They should go for over $100 a piece if they are in good condition. I'm not sure the best place for you to sell them though You may want to contact LLBean and see if they have any interest in purchasing them for some of their displays.

I'll try to get pictures up. Still uncertain about what to do with them. Hate the thought of selling this type of stuff--shot my first ducks over this set. But then if they're worth too much, I won't take them out hunting either.

We brought home a dresser 2 weeks ago and put it in my daughter's room (age 8). Come to find out it's a collectible and might be a little nice for a little kid to set wet cups and chewed gum on.

This one's about average condition. Some have better feather markings, others have more damage to the (wooden) heads. [IMG][/IMG]

go to waterfowler.com, you can sell them there. I have several of these decoys myself. I doubt you can get anywhere close to $100 a piece for them. More like $25-40 a piece.
Let me know how much you want for the whole lot.

Those are nice. Wish I had some money to buy stuff like that. I love collecting stuff. If it was me... I would hang on to them... but I would bet they are worth a decent amount though.
