Treestands today are getting outrageous, the loggy's are very nice, along with the load wolfs. i usually just by a nothing fancy lightweight gorilla lock on..

Heights and I have never been good friends. I keep to a simple and sturdy ladder stand for that reason, one with rails at knee level connecting the seat to the ladder. For that handicap, location and wind direction are even more important criterion. I envy those of you who can shimmy 25 feet in the air without reservation.

I have about 20 stands of all types, I think my favorite is the Summit Viper. I haven't used a Loggy Bayou but I hear they are great.
I like my first stand but it is a heavy noisy climber, API Grand Slam. Comfortable and sturdy.

My climber is the Ol'Man Grand Vision. Absolutely love it..... My lock-on stands are Summits. Nice platform size and very sturdy. I hunt 20' plus and feel safe and secure in both of these.

Mostly using API lockons and 20' ladderstands now, have a couple of climbers but really only use them these days for out away hunts. My favorite climber though is an older buckshot, very secure stand and very comfortable, you can literally hunt all day comfortably from that thing, the only downside is that it is HEAVY.My other climber is an API grand slam star extreme that is a nice stand also, mainly use it for bowhunting.

    Re: Best Tree Stand (Supergas)

I think the best tree stands are those built on sight to be tree Hiltons and entail no lugging around or work to put in place right before you hunt the area.

Anyone hunt with a Tree Lounge?

I've used one with years with no problems, but some people don't like the turn around part of using one. I've probably had mine for 15 years, it works fine for me. I notice that the price has gotten high on these too, I think I paid in the $200-250 range for mine back when.

I have a summit revolution by far the most comfortable stand I have ever owned or used. It is easy, quiet and did I mention comfortable! The only problem was a few years back someone pinched a finger and summit pulled production on them !

Tree lounge- their shop is less than a mile from my house and I do their hvac. They are some great people who are very quality oriented -great stands.

Loggy Bayou Monarch Pro(?) it is the one with the camo bags for your items on the climbing part. Got a great deal on it this spring for $159 shipped to my door off of Ebay. Still miss my old grey Loggy Bayou from the early 90's, it was a heck of a climber.

The best tree stand is one that the hunter always wears the harness while in.

    Re: Best Tree Stand (MuskieOn)

i have a few diffrent stands and diffrent brands...all serve their pourpose in some way....i have some that are made of metal that stay on the hunting ground and dont get moved all season.....i have a nice API Aluminum that i take when we travel to hunt cause ill be packing it around and i want something thats light....i got 2 climbers and use them some but not as much as the other 4
to me as long as it locks on good and sturdy...has a good seat and is light thats all that matters to me......brands dont make much of a diffrence to me at all really
