    Re: On Board Chargers (UglyBug)

The reason they tell you unplug the cord from the wall first is for safety just in case there is a bad spot (exposed wires) on the cord some where along the length of the cord that you could run your hand across and in up having a bad hair day. But I am an electrcian and dont do it all the time but if you do touch the bad spot, if there is one, then hopefully that will remind you

Hook up charger then walk to wall plug and plug it in. Always unplug at wall first. Stay as far from battery as possible just in case a gas pocket forms and something sparks. I blew a one standing over battery taking off the charger cables . Can only imaging blowing one looking down in back of boat

Won't the electrons be going the wrong direction (from the boat to the house) if you plug it into the boat first????

So the majority go to the boat first then the wall becaus of a spark? Is it still ok if I keep lighting cigarettes on my boat? Cause I do this more than I charge the batteries.
