    Re: tilt/trim (ptblunt1)

    Sounds like my trim guage....

If the ignition key is in the "off" position, then the trim guage will not move when you trim the engine. If you turn the key (as if you were starting your motor), all the guages should come to life and your trim guage should move as you trim your motor up/down. At least that's how mine works.

I thought it should move or something. It doesn't matter if the boat is moving or like right now my key is out and the moter is trimmed up in my driveway but the guage still is reading down. The dealer told me to find the sensors and tighten the screws but I didn't find what he was talking about. I guess he will be getting a little visit soon. Thanks for the reply.

if you turn the key on the trim guage should move up if you got the key on the motor trimmed up and it still down you need to check your sensors or possibly replace the guage at worst.. hope this helps

You may want to make sure there is power to the gauge...

Yea I thought so, but even when I turn the key and trim all the way up, it still says down. I will check the guage itself. Thanks
