Battery Tray Forgiveness

I have 12 1/2 in deep cycle battery trays - need 12 3/4 for new batteries - is it possible or is it what it is?

I would imagine they have larger trays to fit that battery. Last boat I had the same problem. Thing was I really didn't have the room to add that much. I just took a sharp utility knife and cut the end of it off and the battery just hung off the side slightly. No problems, since I had a strap on the battery.

I had to do that once to get some series 29 batts into a tray made for 27's. As long as you have them strapped down you should be fine.
