    Newbie question regarding gas/oil

This is embarassing but I have to ask it lol. I have a mid 90's 2 stroke Mercury BlackMax motor and have two questions.

    1) gas to oil ratio? ...50:1?
    2) do i need special marine gas and/or oil or can i fill up at the gas station and buy my oil there too?

thanks you in advance for answering!

Re: Newbie question regarding gas/oil (Duma)

    1. The gas is mixed 50:1
    2. You'll want to just use regular grade gas, there is no special marine gas, but you'll need to use 2 stroke TCWIII rated oil, the oil that you'd buy at a gas station isn't for 2 stroke engines.

I would recommend you buy Merc prem 2 stroke oil, or the quicksilver prem.. (Same thing)
