I need some help as a new member. I have narrowed my choices of bass boat down to a 02 tr185 with a 03 merc 150 xr6 and an 03 sx 190 skeeter with a yamaha V max. Both are equipped about the same. No deal breakers. The Triton has been fished and shows some natural signs of wear. I rate it a 8-10. The Skeeter is a 10-10. The guy must be fishing from his garage. Not a mark anywhere. Triton $10,900, Skeeter $12,500. Any suggestions or comparisons will really help.

is the yamaha an efi model or carbureted????If it's the efi ....I would go with the skeeter.....Better fuel savings with the efi.....

Skeeter only way I will ever be in a triton is if someone is paying me.
triton! just lookin the storage boxes,still not convinced,trust me, ride ,craftsmanship,resale,much better on the triton.

What did you get, to Triton or Skeeter? Mine was most bang for the buck. I picked up this Triton for 14,000.
I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.

Personally, i say you cannot go wrong with the Toon! My vote goes to TRITON!!!

Skeeter!! Even though the Triton's a good boat too. Just like them Yamahammers! Oh, and an EFI doesnt get better mileage than a carb. motor- just easier to start, smoother running. A DFI motor gets a lot better mileage though!
i'd say go with the triton, just for the simple fact is i don't think you can put a jackplate on the skeeter model. And also the triton is going to have much more storage.

my vote would've been for the skeeter nuttin agin the toon but for some reason i like the bug.
maybe shaw turned me from triton with all his squealin boy this triton 21x2 is the best duhr!!!!
just kidin both are good boats you cant go wrong with either but the skeeter hawk wins in my book
