Jack plate will allow you to raise your motor a little more, use a little less positive trim and make your boat think it is longer so it will handle a little better.. Most boats that don't have one would benifit from a 4" plate, try and find others with your setup and see what they are running for setback.
Remember when ya set the motor back you must raise it due to the angle of the transome.. Louis
That's a 19 footer rated for a max of 200hp, isn't it? Adding a plate will give your 150 a little more leverage to get that boat out of the water, as well as the ability to fine tune the setup.
