    01 250 xb reeds

    Dont guess this is suppose to be there. What's the best reeds to go back with.

    No it's not, but glad i found it. Was pulling the injectors to send out and decided to take a look.

    nope,just thought it was time to do the injectors. Any ideals on what would make it break like that.

    I guess that is common. I was told it's because they're carbon fiber. Had the same problem in '05 (but ALOT worse) and put Boysen's in but saw no performance gain.

    Mike:

    Is it just the picture- or do you have TWO DIFFERENT types of reeds on that plate (some appear to be different composition in the picture)?

    You'll likely never know for sure.... but if I had to wager a guess... at some point a tie-wrap was sucked into the intake, and lodged in that reed.

    Your engine used Boyeson Dual-Stage reeds (straight from the factory)- and that's what I'd recommend replacing them with.

    Just the picture, used a flashlight instead of a flash so only the broke reed would be highlited. Was going to tell you i sent the injectors yesterday afternoon but i seen you already have them, Them ups boys are on the ball.

    Called Boyeson and talked to a rep. about them and she said they only make them in fiberglass, i thought they were carbon fiber. Fiberglass- is this what i want??

    Thats what she said. Good talkin to you yesterday, actually got to talk to Mark at Marks prop also. Those women are slipping, there not suppose to let yall answer the phone. I'll get Rhonda a parts list up tonight and shoot it to her tomorrow. Thanks for your help Don.
