Here's a SI pic of the point of an island with the river ledge across the bottom of the pic and a secondary channel ledge running diagonally from the lower left to upper right.

Notice the crisp white lines along the creek channel this is a ledge when the sonar hit it directly. THe Crisp White line is displayed because the sound waves hit a vertical surface.

When the sonar shoots over a ledge it will show a shadow (Or Absence of Sonar) this which help you learn height of the ledge - longer the shadow the more drop.

THis image has both in it.

Another one with both views, all on the same ledge. One over the top of the ledge on the right with the shadow , and one into the ledge on the left where it brightens the ledge.

See you on the 9th, will have the Pipestone boys there also.

Yep, Just down from the tailrace, if I remember right. That was one of my first screencaptures. The first of many, I enjoy my 997 almost as much as I enjoy fishing.

I guess that answers my question to you on the other post. I was going to suggest you give them a call.

I think I have 7 or 8 attending. Last time I talked to John,(2 weeks ago) he had about 35 pre-registered. I told him I would bring my own units and power supply if he needed.

John told me they were going to have 25 birds set up. They were limiting seminar to 30 people? Hands on for everyone, do you know any more?
