Splitting the Pipe...Humminbird Si, Di and 2D

Here is a neat image of a 6" Irrigation Pipe that shows Humminbird Full 180 Degree of Coverage in Side Imaging actually it overlaps a hair by this image because you can see on both sides. Also Down Imaging and 2D of the same Irrigation Pipe Crossing a Creek. Fallen Bridge to the Right Was not in coverage area of the 2D and DI area of Coverage.

Few more Images of the Pipe:

Here we went right over the Fallen Bridge in DI and 2D:

    excellent pics!

very interesting structure! I am actually surprised at how well the 2d sonar shows the pipe bridging the ditch

Thats exactly why I like Humminbird Sonar. Too much power in a unit can mushroom an image and take away the sonar detail. Humminbird has it down pat

Awesome Image Doug!! I guess I'm gonna have to try to split a golf ball :)~~ LOL.

Pretty cool imaging and cool machine!!!

What's with the "beds" in the depression in photos #4 and #5. Isn't that a little deep to have beds wallowed out like that or is it something else?

That's washouts in the creek beds...I see this often when scanning rocky creek bottoms.

Do you know what makes them like that? Look like fish beds but it's way to deep I would think. Or is this a feature left over from before the lake was flooded or when it was way down in drought?

I've seen the same thing on freshly flooded creeks so I would say it's where the water washed out the soft materials before it filled.
