I went from a 08 225 pro xs to a 05 250 XS and I need a harness adaptor I think. I have a 6 pin plug coming from my smartcraft guages but no 6 pin plug on the motor. All I see is a 8 pin I think. There are 2 that look much alike on the motor. Please help I need to read my guages

The wiring plug for Smarcraft Data is a 10 PIN plug (not six or eight pin).
On the 250XS, the plug you're looking for is likely right on the face of the PCM, and may have a plastic cap installed that is YELLOW on the top, denoting "Terminator" or "Terminating Resistor". Remove the cap, and plug your 10 pin Data Cable in here.
The 6 pin plug is for a BOAT Harness (fuel/oil/paddle-wheel harness, and this plug would be DIFFERENT between the 2008/2005 engine).
