I was researching and wondering about installing smartcraft guage on my 08 triton
250 pro xs. Is this a difficult install. I have a good friend who installs computer cable/phone cable type of stuff would he be able to do. Are there 2 seperate guages one for speed and one for tack . I am a little confused on that. What would be a reasonable cost to install if decide to have it done ?

About 95% of the units we sell are "user installed". I'm always willing to provide installation support/advise... as long as you're willing to listen.
Rather than the "System Tach & Speed".... why not consider a MercMonitor (preferably a Level One or higher)? Not only is it a "better bang for the buck"- it provides you with the ability to export engine data to a GPS unit (so you can overlay that info on your GPS screen).
Drop our parts department an email.... preferably including a picture of your boat's dash, and your phone number. We'll discuss what you would like.... what options are available, and "custom tailor" a system that suits both your wishes and budget.
