3 1/2--4 1/2 C Flour
3 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp salt
2 pckgs Yeast
1 C Milk
1/2 C Water
1/4 C Butter
In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 C flour, sugar, salt & undissolved yeast. Combine milk, water & butter in saucepan. Heat to 120-130 degrees. Butter DOES NOT need to melt completely. Gradually add liquids to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Add 1/2 C flour, beat on high 2 minutes. Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough. Turn onto floured surface and knead 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turn dough to grease top. Cover and place the bowl in a pan of water at 98 degrees. Let rise 15 minutes. Turn onto floured surface, shape into rolls..I usually make them into parker house style. Place in greased pan, cover, and let rise in a warm place, free from draft, 15 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
