    **SAVING TIME**

One factor a basser must control most days is the time...every little thing eats away at casting time, at the number of casts that T.

Here are some ways to free up more time from Friday till weigh Saturday:

1...Put snacks in a zip lok and freeze water instead of stopping to buy it (Friday).
2...Put running lights in and your tow rope in the bed of the truck (Friday).
3...Take out a flashlight and put on the dash of your truck (Friday).
4...Tie on as many baits as you can Friday or Thursday. (check hooks too)
5...Put the launch fee in a shirt pocket and entry fee in front pants pocket (Friday).
(Buy cargo type pants with the extra 2 pockets on the side for fishing)
7...Put 4 of your 2 favorite plastics for that T in a side lower pocket.
8...Slip the cell phone in the other lower front pants pocket B4 leaving the house.
9...Have the shades and better summer hat in the boat before leaving the house.
10..Apply sunblock before leaving the house or on the way as Pros do.
11..Put watch, keys, baits, pocket knife, fees and such in pants Friday night.
12..Do lake things together like removing lights and getting shades.
13..Do lake things together like moving and snacking.
14..Put a drink on the bow in hot weather and a frozen one in the d side holder.
15..No matter how tired, add boat gas on the way home from the lake.

Add some of your own below...
keep in mind while fishing "fast baits" even a minute saved means 2 more casts while the bottom baits get a cast for each minute saved most days.

These tips are actually much more important for bottom baits because you get half the casts or less compared to power fishing fast baits.

I've started to do some of those thing the day before the tourney and its been helping alot. No need to waste valuable time on the water since my rods already have bait tied on that im going to use.

The way this tournament year has been going I would save alot of time and money by just not showing up....

This is a thread about conserving every minute so here are a couple of things my team partner and I do to save a minute.

Have your partner learn to retie while running. We retie constantly. So I will retie mine and my partners baits we're primarily using when we run from hole to hole, while he's driving of course. It's fun retying 2 C-rigs at 70 or so (You gotta trust each other's knots though)

Also pee while easing up to a spot. Like as soon as you come off plane and you're idling a little closer. Just swap out with the driver.

We do everything by at least the night before as far as getting the boat ready and making sure all our stuff is tied up and ready to go. We almost always use his boat & I live closer to his dad's where he keeps the boat, So I usually go over and put all my stuff in and then take the boat and truck to get fuel in them. He normally gets all his stuff ready earlier in the day the day before. All we do is show up add ice to the cooler and leave in the am.

Gotta add use ice from home or get ice the night before(Friday night). Also I like to pack my lunch the night before and put it in the fridge so in the morning all I do is everything above and add cream & sugar to my coffee and fly out the door.

I have a spreadsheet that I've loaded into my phone. I know exactly what I need. I won't go to the next line item until I have proof that my current item is in the truck or boat.
