Tackle and rod storage in the garage

    Guys,

I'm in the process of building a new house and need to store my rods in the attached garage. thinking about storing them on the wall and also trying to figure out storage for all my tackle. In my current house all the rods and tackle are stored in the walk out basement.

    Any suggestions? Anyone with pictures?

    Thanks.

Take a 4' piece of copper pipe foam insulation and run a bead of caulk down the length and glue it to a 4' 1x2. Cut a slit in the insulation every 6" and mount 1x2 on to the wall about 3' off the floor. Pop a rod into each slit and you can hold around 7 rods depending on how close you make the slits. I like 6" so the reels don't hit. You can also make a ledge out of 1x3 for the but to sit on if you want to keep them off the floor.
