    Dropshot tip.

Started fishing drop shot recently and had a problem with line twist. Decided to start using #12 swivles, and it worked great, but still hated tieing thoes tiny ds hooks while fishing, so I pretied about 3 or 4 and put each of them in one of the little plastic bags the hook, sinkers, or jigheads come in. Now when I break off, I tie a quick knot to the swivle, slap on a ds weight and Im done in as much time as it takes to tie on a regualar worm hook.

i have a lot of problems with the sinker in my rod locker I use either a rubber band or a paper clip to hold the weight in place
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Why can't you use a jig head in place of the weight? Have two baits at once??

The biggest problem I've found with this is when fishing spot they're almost always never alone, and if you hook one, the others will stay with it and bite just about anything. You end up hooking two fish, and if you don't lose both, you'll almost always lose the bigger fish.

I am not much of a bass fisherman but it seems to me that picking up two fish would be a positive. Could you use braid from the swivel down making the rig stronger or would the increased visibility kill ya?

To eliminate line twist: Try this...........spool about 50 yards of 20# braid on to your spinning reel, then attach a florocarbon 10-15 ft leader using a uni-knot to uni-knot. Be sure to keep the line wet when pulling down. This will eliminate line twist 95% and save on line. I have even taken the braid off one reel by winding it onto another which reverses the braid to the new reel giving you new unused braid. Talk abour a money saver !!! Works for bait casters too !!!
