When I fish tubes I always put 2 crappie nibblets inside the tube before passing the hook through the bottom. The hook holds the nibblets inside the tube & gives of scent for 1-2 hours. Good luck, hope this helps.

any particulat crappie nibblet you use?
I normally use the chartruse color because I fish a crawfish colored tube. The chartruse acually looks like the orange color on the bottom of a crawfish. When using dark colored tubes it dosen't matter because you can't see through the tube.
Hopefully on those slow days it might help put that last keeper or 2 in the live well, it has sure helped me.
