    Trailer safety tip

When picking up your new rig, take 2 minutes to verify your trailer brakes are working. If you have surge brakes, back up the trailer before electrically plugging into your truck, the surge brakes should lockup, its not fun trailing home only to find out you have no brakes.

Re: Trailer safety tip (boatless bank trash)

Mike also back up several times, if the trailer is powder painted it takes several time to wear the paint a little before it will engage. I found that out the hard way, they forgot to hook a wire up on mine and we didn't find out until I was 45 minutes towards home and stopped for a coke and it wouldn't back up!! It did fine at the dealership and ramp, but we only backed it up 2 times, he we done it more we would have noticed it there!
