All natural bug repellant (no mess)

I learned this a few years ago and swear by it. Before you go out in the evening or morning top water bite, eat a few carrots. That's right eat a few carrots I get the peeled baby carrots that come in about 30-50 in a little bag, they are already peeled and washed and easy to chew. Eat a few carrots and the natural carrotine from the carrots when it leaves your body will act as a bug repellant. Don't ask why, or how, I just know that I have done this for the last few yeasr and it is much cleaner than sprays, and a little vitamin E, never did hurt anyone

Hope you will take this in consideration and you may never know if it works for you unless you try it

behmer, don't forget to take into account not everyones body chemisty is the same, so what works for some may/may not work for others...but I will give it a try next time I go night fishing, IF I can steal some of our horses carrots

Vitamin B1 tablet each day will keep the skeeters away. About $3 at Walgreen for 100 tablets. Take em April - November here in Mississippi. It really works.

Re: All natural bug repellant (behmer)

I went out Saturday from 5:00 PM until Midnight, had the bugs flying around but so far no bites anywhere. I had about 25 carrots or so around lunchtime (little peeled baby carrots), and have no bites. I've been doing this for years and I swear it works.

Try it and let us all know your experience with it.
