Even when you put it on your arms and hands be careful I have had it eat away at my watch! Makes you wonder how good it is for you to be putting it on your skin.

Mid-Tin is right. Bug spray will etch plastics. On my old boat had little speckles permanently etched all over the dash from bug spray. No cans of bug spray are now allowed on my boat. I now use the Deep Woods Off that you can buy packaged in individual towelettes.

    Re: "Bug Spray" (HighFiveBassin)

I learned this the hard way with a new Triton. The dash and windshield had pits in the finish. So I put it on before i got into the boat when night fishing. The towelettes are new to me,but sounds like a good thing.

It's rough on plastics So becareful!

    MID TN

I'll back that up for sure, Mid TN. Several years ago, before I found out what was causing it, I marred several windshields, depth finders, portable radios, watch and my cheap, prescription polarized glasses. That stuff will really mess things up to where it is very difficult to remove the spots. The only thing I found would work was BLUEMAGIC PLASTIC & PLEXIGLASS CLEANER AND LIGHT SCRATCH REMOVER. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!.

MID TN, I expect a cut in the monetary rewards you'll receive from all the readers that this helps. There is a fix for everything except OLD AGE--ROGER?

Yeah g3yama, when you spend big money on these rigs and other stuff and then with one shot of repelant you can make a mess and cut the value or cost you a bunch to replace, it will pay you to becareful.
