Can you borrow more than what the boat price is for. For instance upgrade electronics

Good question. Some of that depends on the buy you are getting to begin with. The simple answer is yes but it needs to be presented the right way. We can work that out for you. How a deai is written and presented to the lender really matters. You can call my cell 517-930-2721 and I can talk to you about it. Thanks, Ken
Another question, how long does an approvel last for. like if I was approved tomorrow how long would I have to close the deal on a boat. I have found three I would like to look at in person but all of them are 6-10hr drives. Something I just can do all at once.

Most lenders keep an approval for 30 days. We have one that keeps it for 90 but they are regional so that depends on where you live if you qualify there. To get an approval, we need a year, make and model of a boat. If it changes, that is fine but lenders want to know what they are buying. Loan vs value is part of the approval process. Changing for lesser amounts is also better. If we have an approval for say $20K then go back and ask for $22K, the process starts all over. Changing down is easier. If you need a hand finding a value for something you are looking at, let us know and we can give you a hand. We use both NADA and ABOS wholesale services.
Thanks,
Ken, Todd & Chris
the boat is and 2007 Legend 199LE single console. with a 07 225 evinrude. could you look and tell me the value. From what I'm seeing on NADA is 25000 for average and 22000 for lowest. The boat has already had two owners so the warrenty will not be there would this have some effect on the value.

I see Legend has a 199SCX in 2007. Nothing with LE in the model name and I did check 06 and 08 also. Let's assume the "S" means single console and that is the boat. Number of owners does not matter on value at all. Engine warranty does not matter either IF the transfers were done properly. Either way, we can get you some coverage veryaffordably. The $22K number you mentioned what NADA shows as a used trade-in, more like a wholesale number. You have to make the call on condition but in good solid and clean condition, anywhere in the low to mid $20's would be fine. Equipment helps us get a good book out for the loan. We are ready when you are. Let us know, Ken
