Without opening a can of worms, what is the range of interest rates? I am looking for a range not an exact - I know credit score and debt to income play a part. That's why I just want a range IE: 3% - 10% for 5 to 10 year terms.

Depending on credit score, debt to income, how secure the loan is, etc. we have seen rates from 4.5% to 18% in the past year. In our area the lower rates are typically found at credit unions that are marketing "special" rates for a month or quarter, but they are for the short term (i.e. 3-5 yr) loans.

We see rates from mid 7's to as high as 18.95%. The loan picture depends on several things. We tend to stay away from Credit Unions. They tend to have shorter terms or even adjustable rates or balloons at the end of 3 or 5 years. We feel more comfortable with solid banks, some national, some regional.
