    Transferring OB warranty

I recently purchased a 2007 Triton with a Mercury 225 ProXS. I know the motor has some warranty left on it, but I'm not sure how much nor how to transfer it into my name. Is this something that should have been taken care of at the time of the sale, and therefore I've screwed the pooch, or can I still get it transferred?

    Many thanks in advance!!

I don't know about the pooch but you should be OK. Transfers need to be done by dealers, in this case a Merc dealer. I have heard that a fee my apply, as much as $150.00. Depending on what is left, you may be able to purchase more. The dealer would be able to tell what you can buy. We would be happy to price it for you. The merc extended needs to be added to an existing warranty but it depends on how the original was structured. The dealer will need your VIN and the old owners name. Let us know if you need anything else.
    Thank you,

With Mercury tranfer all you need is a noterized bill of sale.
    Send it to Mercury.

Thank you for confirming what I was thinking. Some things we do need manufacturers for.
    Have a good day.
