Curious if anyone has mounted one of the submersible LED's on the jackplate to glow the water around engine? I have a pro boat package on order and want to mount one there. If anyone has done this could you give details of how you installed. I think this would look cool! I fish alot of evening and nightime 100+ boat tournaments and no one has the LED's installed so want to be the first!
Haven't done it but I know is been done,,, I would go with green,, make it functional bring in bait fish
We have been doing it for a long time. Different jackplates will require different mounting including fiberglass mounting.

Also will probably have questions on the deck lighting and running the wires once I get ready to install. My plan was to just tap into the existing compartment lighting but I read some where that you dont suggest this. I want to connect all the lights into my courtesy light switch on dash panel. I also ordered a dimmer switch that I want the deck lights run to. This will be going on a 10 skeeter zx200.
Interesting! which Light would you reccomend for this? been thinking of mounting some specifically for attracting bait fish at night (saltwater) Several companies make a light for this purpose, but they are a lot more expensive than the bluewaters. Any suggestions, the brighter the better.
