Is the step wood and painted or some type composite material?

Re: Mods to my 2008 PT175TXW (splais)

So I have almost finished all my mods. Below is the picture of my console with the voltage gauge move down by the throttle. the hole in top of console is waiting for the trim gauge to come. Mercury/Tracker were good enough to pre-install the sender harness for me. The other two pics are of the center seat step finished with the cup holders. I'm still waiting for a SS Vengence 13x18 prop to come to get some real gps readings on how she performs with the stock Opti.

Hydrasports, It's wood. You should have gotten an IM that explained how I did it.

hows the rearview working out, i've thought about one before, the trailer straps are money well spent!...i would never want another trailer without them.

    Re: (JeffA)

The rear view is working ok. It's a small suction cup job that allows me to see if some hot dog is zooming up behind me.

Transom tie downs are one of those little PITA things. The retractable tiedowns are worth every penny and they look slick.

PS: something else I forgot to post - pic of my rod locker with 10 or 12 rods in it all using Stick Jackets. Best rod sleeve ever invented and I've used them all.

PS2: Like to post one other comment. These newer Trackers are incredible boats. The PT175 is much bigger than you think, has gobs of room and storage and the fit and finish is immaculate. I've owned Cajun, Ranger R80, Triton 186 Magnum, G3. If you don't need or can't afford a BIG boat, this is hard to beat.

I don't know what it is, the lousy economy or what, but there are some incredible boat deals out there. I paid $10K for this boat in showroom mint condition. The original purchase paperwork says the guy paid $20.5K for the boat in 2008. This was just an incredible deal.

Re: Mods to my 2008 PT175TXW (splais)

I was wanting to put mag wheels on her, but couldn't afford it right now. One of the 13" tires blew up so I went ahead and put on 15x4.5 steel painted wheels with 195/65Rx15 tires. Still have about 1.5" of clearance in the wheel well.
