    Some Dull Bling

No shiny bling but here it is. After going forever without any way to secure rods to the deck a few really windy days have caused me to take action. Installed some rod buckles to the ol Javelin. [img][/img]

I added mine a few years back after hitting a wake and the single bungy failing throwing six combos overboard.

I would really like to do that, but I would have to take it to someone, it may be silly but I could not cut a hole in my boat. Nice install looks really good

you don't have to cut holes anymore. They now make an adapter piece thats screws down to the top deck and the unit fits inside. you can mount it right next to the gunnel on the carpet.Yuo will only lose about 1 1/2 inches of space, but you don't have to cut a hole in the boat.

Nice job! Do you mind me asking what you cut the hole with? I'm going to be installed them in my boat soon.

    Re: Some Dull Bling (Wags186)

I installed some this winter on my Sprint. I used a hole saw to cut the bulk of it out. Then I used a Drimal with the barrel sanding bit to smooth out the rest. It has a template that comes with the buckles. Just don't cut to much at a time. Keep trying to put the rod buckle in the hole until it fits. Thats how I did mine. Didn't mean to hijack post. They are worth every dollar spent on them
