bought a new ranger 2400 bay just a heads up soft spot in the deck in front of bow seat all cracked. Ranger dealer says they will repair cracks but will not be perfect lol why buy new. What happens when warranty expired and it cracks again? Anyone know of a great quality bay boat?

I looked at Nautic Star before buying my BassCat Baycat. I think the Nautic Star is a top notch rig. I had a CougarFTD before I decided to get a center console and nwas so impressed with the quality that BCB puts into their product and the factory backing, that I could not make myself leave BCB.
My Baycat is perfect for fishing in Mobile Bay and offshore. Being the cautious type, I don't go way out in the Gulf and usually only go when it's fairly quiet out there. It's also great for bass fishing, etc. It's the best all around boat I've ever owned. My Cat is 21'7" long with a 250proxs. It will run in the mid 60's. I've fished in water as shallow as 18" with it and didn't get bottomed out!!

Fished out of a 22' Blackjack last week.....smooth ride....lots of storage....very little water depth required.....and ran like a scalled dawg.....
im partial to the hydra-sports bay boats but like said above the baycats are some fine rigs too

If it were me and it is under warranty you could bet your sweet azz it would be repaired perfect or else! It can be repaired right your dealer may not be able to but someone can!
Bass Cat makes a Bay Cat that looks like a nice boot, and according to everyone who owns a New or Old Bass Cat thay say customer service is excelent.
I have a 01 Ranger Bay boat and it has held up great. I think your dealer sucks. have you called and raised hell with Ranger direct? I had to do that with a Cobra bass boat I had one time. Dealer wouldn't do crap, but Cobra took care of the problem directly.
