Ok folks, we are still working on the 3.0L 225. I didn't have anyway to lift the power head, so I took it back to the guy in Cleveland. He has a hoist. He pulled the power head and cleaned the exhaust. It was solid!!! Took a drill bit to break thru it. Finally got it cleaned. Put it back together and took it to the lake. He said it took off like a new engine!!!! Got up to 70 like it was on cruise control. For about 3 miles. RPM's started dropping, losing power. Got it back to the ramp and loaded it. Checked the CDMs, #6 wasn't firing. All others were firing just fine. He was working on another boat, too, so he let it set fro a while. Went back to it and checked #6 again and it was firing. He put it back in the water, and again it took off like nothing was wrong. Ran for about a mile, and started shutting down again. He said he put a new CDM on it and ran it again and it did the same thing. Next, he is going to replace all three CDMs on the left side and run it again. Will let you know what happens.![]()
