Ok guys, I have some debris in the speedometer of my 225 Pro XS and the speedometer isn't working on the dash
Whats would be the best way to clean it out with basic shop tools, (water, air compressor, etc?)

Try and run some weed-eater trimmer line through the tube.....

Weedeater string isn't going to fit into the pitot pickup on the gearcase.![]()
Carefully (BY HAND- DO NOT USE A POWER DRILL), take a 1/16" drill bit and attempt to clean out the pickup in the front of the gearcase. Take your TIME so as not to bend or break the bit off in the gearcase (a real pain).
You can also disconnect the pitot tubing "somewhere upstream" of the gearcase, and blow "backwards" through the pitot tube with LOW PRESSURE compressed air (35 psi or less).
