    How do you apply Weldwood?

I was wondering when you use Weldwood to glue carpet in. Do you use a roller, a brush or a notched trowel to apply it. Do you need to apply to the deck and the carpet or just the deck? Last question. Do you let it tack up before you lay the carpet?

I use the contact cement on the lids, put it on with a scrapper then use a notched trowel for even coverage. On the flooring I use Henry's as it give you a bit more time to play and adjust the carpet.

i just brushed it on my boat with a paint brush. i put it on thick and got it as even as i could. i did put it on both sides. on the floor and decks i didn't let it get tacky so i could still adjust the carpet a little on the lids i let it set for about 15 minutes. it was extremely easy to work with.

Just finished my entire boat carpet job with Weldwood Contact cement. I used a large bristle brush and it did a great job. Use your tongue jack to level out your boat so it doesn't run. Also, you need to be pretty liberal with it for it to grab the carpet backing good and keep air pockets down.

I must have been having a brain cramp or something. I know what they are I used them to apply epoxy resin to the hull of a canoe I built last year.
