    need help finding rod locker lift shocks

    I got a 98 nitro and im needing shocks for one of the rod lockers and for the center compartment up front. can anyone tell me where to get these? Tired of getting hit in the head every time i look for that magic bait

    several different kinds and places to get them. Measure your center to center on the 10mm sockets and that is your length. Most boats have 30 pound on the rod lockers but I prefer the 40. Automotive stores or ebay.

    RV parts stores will have them too. They use them for basement storage compartments. Here's a link.....

    Lots of places have them. First do you have one installed now? The reason I ask is that it would be easy to just get a new one of the same type.

    I added new carpet to my boat and found the shocks were not strong enough to hold up the lids so I just got the next stronger model. I would be wary about getting the right type of gas spring as they make some for indoor use and they make some for full saltwater (stainless) use.

    Got mine at Advanced Auto Parts. Exact match to what was original to my boat.
