    Part number comparison.

I think I may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The p/n for the regulator on my ’97 225EFI is 814012T1. I have access to a pressure regulator off of a 2.5 liter VST p/n 8140122. What is the difference between these two parts? Would the 2.5 part be safe to use on my 3.0 liter? Did I mention the 2.5 part is available to me at no cost.

NOT the same pressure regulator. Obtain the CORRECT one.
