Reparing knicks on the bottom of fiberglass hull

I have a couple of scratches and pretty good knicks on the bottom of my hull caused by rocks when beaching. A couple of them got down to the mat but are smaller than a dime. I am looking to repair and have used Evercote Match n Patch in the past which has held up.

My question is should I use the Evercote again or go with Marine Tex? Do I need to do something different this time since I have a knick down to the mat?

    Either is fine to use.
The Evercoat is a Gelcoat paste that you can color to match your hull. Marine-Tex is an epoxy that comes in White or Gray.
Both will do the job as long as the prep work is done before filling the repair.
