    A few ???

Just bought a 1994 392v That the owner had put brand new carpet. The kind you find in the trunk of a car. Dumb move. It looks good but don't lay a bait down unless you want to go to it and pick it out of the carpet. So I'm in the process of taking that crap out and putting new Bassboat carpet in. The ? I have is how do I get the old contact glue off the leads and floor? Or could I just put new glue on top of the old glue and it work . What do you recommend using for the glue contact or outdoor carpet glue?

Try and get as much old glue up as possable. Acetone or MEK with a scraper, or a wire wheel on a angle grinder will get it up. As far as glue to use, outdoor glue on the decks, lid tops, and floor and contact cement on the lid edges will work fine and give you some time to adjust if needed before it kicks.
