Got a roll of rubber seal from dealer to redo all my bins. Wondering what is the best way to seal the 2 ends together once it is cut to length and installed. Any suggestions - heat or adhesive? thanks

i think its usually butted together and thats all. But i guess if you wanna go for it use some black 3m 5200 adhesive sealant.
Superglue is the ticket. It melts that stuff together very well. Be sure to get it right though. With rubber like that it will bond almost instantly. Don't ask how I know.![]()

On my Mountain Home Champion the seals were spliced with a short piece of tubing that fit inside the seal lip. No adhesive. When I replaced the seals this year I did it the same way. I don't recall the size of the tubing... maybe 1/4"?
