Deck repair Ranger 363V and trolling motor tray

Good evening all, I installed a comfort troll for the trolling motor and when I cut the hole, I notice the right side of the deck is soft and spongy. The left side seems fine. What is the best course of action for this? Its a 91 Ranger 363v. Any help or direction is much appreciated. Also, when I installed the trolling motor tray, It came with a hose. Where does the hose connect to on the boat to drain? I could not find anywhere to put it. Thanks for your help.

Don't know about the deck wood but the hose just lays in the bottom of boat so water can drain to the bilge area.

I had the same problem with my 363. My deck was not rotten but the plywood had delaminated where I stood to fish causing it to be spongy. Called ranger and the way they repair is to drill holes in the deck and pump epoxey in the holes until it runs out of all the other holes. I bought the epoxey and some blank caulk tubes from West Marine and pumped the epoxey in the holes .

She has been solid for a couple of years.

The repair was easy but the carpet job was a bear.

I have a 1990 362V Ranger and installed a tray. The hose I ran from the tray and tied it into the front bilge area. I used a 1" pvc coupling and gorilla glue and secured it to the fberglass inside the front part of boat. You want to make sure that the water in the drain line flows out and does not sit as it will not drain when your in a heavy downpour and worse get zapped it if fills up......

I also sealed the area well before setting the tray in. If you have moisture in the foam you will need to remove and pour new foam. The area of the foam that is wet was there any rod holder straps in the area? I ask as alot of people set them but do not seal the screws. Post some pictures so we can see. Go to photobucket. Upload your pictures into an album, then save album and highlight the picture and dbl pick over the image code. Then tab back to the page here and paste it into your forum and it will appear. Let me know if you have any issues.
    Thanks, Garland

Before i installed my tray i drilled holes in the tray to secure the pedal to the tray. I used i think #8 stainless screws and placed the bolt head underside of tray, as the screw entered the tray i secured the bolt to tray using a #8 washer and nut and then set pedal on top of the screws and using another washer and nut. This will allow me to remove the tray and not have the screws fall insode/under the tray.
