Looking for any info on Astro Bass Boats and the design of them. I am rebuilding the stringer in a 91 20fdx and alot of the stringers are nothing but wet mush, so getting any measurements are out of the question. If anyone may have any info where or who i can talk to.[img][/img]

Ok guys, Looks like the stringers in my boat was 3/4 plywood from the factory. Will it hurt anything if i use 2x material instead? I would like to make the stringers as strong as i can.
I'm restoring my 95 Astro as well. The stringers in my boat that went from the transom to the front of the boat were 3/4" wood. The pieces between the stingers were 1/2". I understand your boat is bigger than mine but if you need some measurements, let me know and I'll give you what I have. Good luck
Astrojoe, That would be great. I had to cut all the stringers and fiberglass out of my boat today. After i removed around 400 lbs of foam that is. You would think Astro would have done a better job building stringers in there boats. But think god they glassed the transom in first before they layed the strings. One thing i dont have to replace LOL...

Astrojoe, I have the same prob with my '93 f18, I have tore everything out and could use a layout of everything to ensure proper replacements, any help would be appreciated,thanks
i have a 92 20 dcx ,since all are restoring, what is something i could do to lighten this beast up a little. lol
