Carpet removal with Multi-Function tool from Harbor Freight

I thought I had read something in the past on this, but did a couple of searches and couldnt find anything.

Anybody used a multi-function tool or whatever tis called. Can it be used to remove carpet. If so, which attachment and etc. I bought one but havent taken it out of the box.

If so, which attachment etc, somebody give me the skinny.

I found a carpet place here in Houston that can do the stitched edging on my carpet like it came from the factory, so I am thinking about riping the carpet out in the next week or two.

    Thanks, Billy

Yes I did. I used the scrapper blade. It saves alot manual labor getting the carpet and old glue off.

I took it out of the box a few min ago. I noticed the scraper blade, looks like it might work. I stuck a blade on it and plugged it in............dang that sucker moves on high speed (I'm a big spender, I bought the varible speed, 10 bucks more).

I got a 21 foot boat, probably better get several extra blades, good excuse to go back to Harbor Freight.

Guess I better show my wife how to use it so I can watch her work while I drink beer...................I doubt if watching the wife work beer drinking plan works out will it. Bad plan, better get back to doing house work.

    Thanks, Billy

While your there they have spring clips on sale this month, the 2" are on sale for $.49 each. Perfect for keeping the carpet clamped on to the lids.
